An Open Letter to Cleveland Cavs Fans

This man came and destroyed his former squad last night.....nasty!

Dear Cavs Fans,

Well, it’s all over……burn all of those signs, put away those t-shirts, swallow some of that bile you’ve been carrying around since “The Decision”; in other words, let that hatred go……because the one thing that came out of last night’s humiliating 118-90 loss to the Miami Heat is now painfully clear:  Lebron James laughs in the face of your nonsensical attitude about him and his.  LBJ came back to the only pro basketball home that he knew up until this season and in the face of some pretty hostile treatment from you guys, put on a show that said, loud and clear, that he’s moved on; so should you.  I know, I know; a lot of you have some serious problems with how all of this went down, and in some respects, I feel what each and every one of you is going through.  But being pissed and making quirky signs and chanting “Akron hates you” is not going to bring the Cavs any closer to the championship that your goofy assed owner promised you when Lebron decided to move on; for that matter, nor is Byron Scott, but that’s a topic of discussion for another blog post……the fact remains that for all of the spectacle and hype going into last night’s game, your team stinks and had no real shot of beating the Heat.  What’s more troubling (for y’all) is that it’s probably not going to get any better for the Cavs anytime soon.  Yes, there is some young, developing talent on that team, but not enough to seriously compete on the level that Lebron had y’all on.  This is not the Thunder or the Blazers, where the talent and the potential for the future is evident.  This is the Cavs, and if your hopes for future glory rest on Anderson Varejao or JJ Hickson, then you’re not really hoping for future glory, then…..are you?  I’m not saying that you can’t boo or protest or try to make LBJ’s life miserable everytime he comes back to the Q; just turn it down a notch and save your voices for what really needs to be said, namely that y’all need to have a real team to have a real shot.  So, once again……LBJ 1, CLE 0……keep your heads up!
